Waiheke Wine Tasting Prices

What a wine tasting costs at Waiheke cellar doors: Mudbrick, Stonyridge and Tantalus flights from NZ$22 to NZ$80, booking rules, and when a tour with tastings included is cheaper (Oct 2026).

Updated October 2026

A standard tasting at a Waiheke cellar door costs about NZ$22 to NZ$35 at the vineyards we checked in October 2026, and a premium flight up to NZ$80: Mudbrick charges NZ$22 to NZ$31, Tantalus NZ$25 for four estate wines and Stonyridge NZ$35 for four island wines. Three or four tastings on your own come to about NZ$75 to NZ$130 before lunch and the bus. On a guided tour the tastings are in the price: Enjoi’s wineries tour, from US$104 a person, includes a tasting at four or more vineyards and the driving (checked October 2026).

Prices, flights and booking rules from Mudbrick, Stonyridge and Tantalus’s own sites, read in October 2026. Mudbrick adds a surcharge on public holidays. Cable Bay and Te Motu do not publish their tasting prices; Cable Bay’s cellar door opens seven days, and Te Motu’s opens 12:00 to 17:00 daily with bookings essential at weekends.

On your own, the day is the ferry and bus, then a tasting at each cellar door and lunch. Fullers360’s ferry and hop-on hop-off bus ticket is from US$59, and three flights at the prices above come to about NZ$75 to NZ$105 (checked October 2026).

On a tour, the tastings are in the price. Enjoi’s wineries tour includes a tasting at each of four or more stops; The Wine Tasting Company’s Best Cellar Tour pours 10 to 15 wines at three vineyards with every tasting fee included; Ananda’s gourmet tour includes every tasting and lunch. The ferry is extra on all three. In the reviews of Enjoi’s tour, some guests in early 2026 wrote that they visited three wineries and an olive oil producer rather than four wineries.

Practical points

  • ID. New Zealand’s legal purchase age for alcohol is 18 under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, and venues may ask for a passport, New Zealand driver licence or Kiwi Access card (New Zealand Police).
  • Book Stonyridge. Its tastings are booked online; walk-ins are taken when there is space.
  • Groups. Mudbrick asks groups of seven or more to contact it first; Stonyridge takes groups of nine or more as private tastings by email.
  • Driving. The limit for drivers aged 20 and over is 250 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath, and zero for drivers under 20 (NZ Transport Agency). Several flights in a day add up; leave the car.
